Meet Jonathan Jay
Jonathan Jay sold his first business in 1999, and that experience opened his eyes to the power of buying and selling companies instead of building from scratch.
Over the last 25 years, he has bought and sold more than 70 businesses across multiple industries. In 2007, he acquired a group of distressed businesses for £1, turned them around, and later sold them to a private equity firm for £1.25 million. During the pandemic, he bought dozens more businesses to build a group of companies.
Through Dealmakers, Jonathan has since taught thousands of entrepreneurs and future acquisition business owners how to buy businesses more effectively. The main Dealmakers site says he has shown more than 13,000 dealmakers how to buy a business and succeed in business acquisition since 2016.
